2 reviews of Hotel Central in Saalbach, Austria.

The Hotel Central is all a little dated but everything was tidy enough. The location was OK as you’re not too far from the lifts (only a short walk).
A lot of the rooms had bunk beds – they were all clean but very very basic (no flat screen TVs or anything like that).
Breakfast was very basic continental stuff.
You have to go out to eat every day because lunch and dinner aren’t included, but there are some nice enough places in the village.

The hotel central was ok; it’s one of those hotels where you get what you pay for: everything is very cheap, cheerful and basic but it’s all clean enough.
In the mornings they did a normal continental type breakfast which was fine.
I was staying in a twin room which was tight; I definitely wouldn’t call it spacious. There was an en-suite as well as a wardrobe, chair, 2 beds and that was about it, we didn’t have anything like tea and coffee facilities.
Location-wise, it’s fine, close enough that you’re within walking distance of the lifts and slopes etc. You’re also close enough to all the bars (there’s one under the hotel). Although you’re not bang in the centre of town, the town isn’t big enough for that to be a problem.
