3 reviews of Chalet Hotel Christina in La Plagne, France.

The food was outstanding and the staff were absolutely lovely, but the hotel was full of kids. It’s fine if you’re a family but I wouldn’t recommend it to groups of friends.
One of us was told off for laughing when we came back (before midnight), but none of us got any sleep with screaming children from one floor to the other at all hours of the night. The rooms were dated.
It’s too far from any bars and clubs, there’s nothing in the immediate vicinity at all. The location is pretty good for skiing though.

We had a good week, the chalet hotel is fine and perfectly functional. We’d read reviews saying it wasn’t particularly sparkling so knew what to expect. The food arrangements were good, the kids liked their dinners and it was particularly nice to have hot drinks and snacks available all day. We had 2 bedrooms and both were fine in terms of storage etc. The location is excellent as you can ski in and ski out.
The only thing that could be improved is that there are no facilities for children who aren’t in the kids club, so our 13 year old son didn’t have much to do. He met some boys of a similar age in his adult ski lessons but in the actual chalet hotel, there’s not even a TV. This wasn’t a big problem as he was skiing most of the time anyway, but it would have been nice for his age group to have something to do.

Accommodation was reasonable 3*. Food good and only 1 min from the slopes! Great après ski. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Not the most picturesque of places though. Huge thanks.
