Really good for our family

Reviewed 10 Jun 2016

Really good! Thought it was as advertised, there was enough space for all of us and the living and kitchen area was really good. It has a great balcony with great views. The chalet host was a great cook who produced really good meals – everyone was happy, adults and kids alike. I’ve been on ski holidays before and you’re never going to get big rooms, but these ones were good enough. The location was really easy for getting around. I’d say to those with very young kids that it’s worth hiring a locker by the slopes to make getting around easier. The walk would be fine for adults though. The childcare recommended worked really well (nannies in 1550) and gave us a lot of flexibility. Overall it worked well for us as a family!

Lovely chalet, bit of a trek to the slopes

Reviewed 22 Apr 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Courchevel. The snow was brilliant and the chalet itself was lovely. The room sizes were a bit small but the en-suite was absolutely fine. Chalet hosts were fantastic and we enjoyed the food. The only downside was the location as it was a bit of a trek getting to the slopes. If you know the resort you know they’ve got escalators that you use to get up from 1650 and every day at least one of the escalators wasn’t working.

Another point we weren’t happy about was the transfer coming in, we spent the thick end of 2 hours waiting at Moutiers and then they sent the coach without the rep so the driver didn’t know where he was meant to be going in resort. The transfer back was fine, they just need to make sure they always have a rep on the coach.

Stylish ski digs & love Moriond 1650

Reviewed 15 Jan 2014

In the pretty little area of Courchevel 1650, also known as Moriond/1650, you have your own space and privacy from this nest of tranquillity. For the quieter lifts and lively social scene, make the 400m walk to the escalator which will take you directly into Moriond. If you fancy something a little quieter, the bus running directly to The Village/1550 stop just a little down the road from the chalet. As an alternative, we had recommended the relaxing comfort of an open fire with a glass of wine - a sublime setting.
