Worries over snow cover are the last thing on the minds of Beito’s residents at Eastertime; where it frequently falls through May. They’re occupied preparing for one of the busiest times of year, when punters flow out onto sun terraces at places like Aasgard, Arnold’s and Caféen. The atmosphere buzzes, the liquor store runs low and kids make plenty of new pals in the playground and snow park, so it’s fortunate that practically all of the accommodation is lined up right at the bottom of the slopes ‒ you’ll never be far from the fun.
Most of Beito’s extra-curricular activities are snow-based (little wonder when there’s so much of it) and super fun in the warm glow of the spring sunshine. You can’t leave without heading up to the Valdresflya plateau at this time of year, for kite skiing, dog sledding or simply enjoying your sarnies gazing over the majestic peaks of Jotunheimen. No matter how old you are, sailing down on a snow raft, or venturing out between the trees on horses is something to tell friends about.
