Weather and Man Made Snow in Whistler

On an annual basis, Whistler's average frozen precipitation is 990cm.

This natural weather-created snowfall is helped along with 259 snow guns or "cannons" on ?km of piste - that's over 14% of the total length of Whistler trails.

Off-piste snowboarding and sking is allowed and of course this has the secondary effect of reducing the wear and tear on snow condition on the pisted runs.
