Weather and Man Made Snow in Lake Louise
On an annual basis, Lake Louise's average frozen precipitation is 417cm.
This natural weather-created snowfall is helped along with 100 snow guns or "cannons" on ?km of piste - that's over 40% of the total length of Lake Louise trails.
Off-piste snowboarding and sking is allowed and of course this has the secondary effect of reducing the wear and tear on snow condition on the pisted runs.
