Given its pedestrian centre, unusually good day care facilities (by normally severely limited Italian standards), friendly family skiing on much of the local ski area and range of off-slope facilities, Courmayeur is an increasingly good choice for families (especially if the kids like spaghetti). It's also nice that the whole family can bop together at the ice disco (although in practice Mum and Dad are unlikely to be welcomed...). At Dolonne the Sports Centre offers indoor ice-skating, tennis, squash, a climbing wall, gym etc. There are few discounts of any kind for children. Children up to 1 metre 20cms in height (4 feet) ski free, after that it's adult price! The ski school has no child prices except that if there are three or more members of a family group taking lessons with the Mont Blanc Ski School, they receive a 15% discount on 6 day group lessons. To obtain the discount bring along your passports at time of booking.
