Chamrousse has three special areas where children can learn in a fun, safe environment. These include a conveyer mat, rope tow and warm chalet for warming up and snacks to ensure your little ones learn in the best conditions and stay happy! Children from the age of 3 can learn to ski with ESF’s Piou Piou lessons, while slightly older children 4-5 years can learn how to use a drag lift and make turns with Ourson lessons. A great thing about Chamrousse for families is that children who are under 6 can use the ski area for free. Private lessons are also available.

Chamrousse day and evening care plus snow ski schools and babysitting.
Its sunny, sheltered climate and wide range of easy to intermediate skiing makes Charmousse a good choice for families. Even babies are well catered for as tots from as young as 3 months can be looked after in the village creche. The local ski school runs the "Piou-Piou" (that's the Bear Cub Club) for 3 to 7 year olds. The club has its own drag lift which enables the cubs to get the most of their lift passes and if the weather turns bad shelter is taken in the club hut where there is a selection of games and videos to pass the time. An alternative for kids of 3 and over is the Marmot club offering a variety of sports and creative activities besides skiing, such as skating, tobogganing, hiking, puppet-making and craft work. There is also a children's play area with roundabout, swings and so on.
