Salla is a small resort with lots to offer from skiing to snowmobiling and reindeer rides to snowshoe trekking - what you need is a warming base to come back to where you look forward to evenings and meal times as much as the activities on the snow.

The Hotel Revontuli is in the centre of the tiny resort and only a minute to the slopes. If you want to get up close and personal with some of the local inhabitants, the famous Reindeer park is only a five minute drive away – perfect for a day of something different where you can do things like reindeer and husky safaris.

If you have an adventurous appetite, the hotel restaurants often do Finnish delicacies like reindeer steak - you simply can’t forget to try the cloudberries or Lapp cheeses when they’re on the menu. Some hotels in this climate are quite good with the whole relaxing theme thing after a day outdoors... You might even be lucky enough to find a spa in the vicinity. If you’re heading out at Christmas or New Year, most hotels put on some kind of gala evening to help you along with the holiday atmosphere.
