Overview: hotel description: Tsanteleina description

Traditional Ski-lodge- Elegantly planned with an exterior architecture and design strongly characterised by wooden stripes The Tsanteleina is an outstanding mountain lodge-style Hotel. Simply an ideal choice and great value for families and groups of friends. The family-run hotel is a Val d’Isere institution since 1948, it now offers 54 rooms and the unique alpine feel is strengthened by timber exposed beams and stunning chestnut brown chesterfield couches.

Home away from home – The attractive, and in most cases recently renovated rooms, are all fitted to high standards with wooden panels and lovely furniture including comfortable large beds and leather lounge chairs. Depending on the type of room they come with spacious balconies and excellent bath showers. Families can be easily accommodated in suites or interconnecting rooms.

Unwind in style- The wellness area boasts a sauna, Hamman, a heated indoor pool and a whirlpool tub, where sizable windows present excellent mountain panoramas. Spa treatments are also available and payable locally. The M Bar next to the lobby is the perfect spot to enjoy a well-deserved drink in front of the fireplace. Ski gear will be all warm and dry in the morning as the hotel has individual heated lockers for boots, gloves and helmets. Free WiFi is included.

Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...

Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
