Hotel was excellent, we opted for the basic room but was perfect for us. The staff were incredibility helpful, top top marks. Food was good. Best positioned hotel in Flaine , ski in ski out + more

Don’t judge a book by its cover – despite its functional outward appearance, the Totem’s pretty stylish inside. It’s all about boldness here, from the cow-print pattern behind the bar to the metallic hanging lights that look almost like snowflakes, and arty patterns that add a little something extra to the rooms.

The foot of the slopes is just a two-minute walk away, and you'll find lots of lifts there including the main Grandes Platières gondola, so you'll be up and away before you know it. And when you come back, you can warm up by the fireplace in the lounge. If you’re here with kids, you can book them into Childcare at the nearby Le Flaine Hotel for some extra fun for them and time to chill out for you.

In the mornings, choose your faves at the buffet breakfast before you set off for the day – and if you start feeling peckish at lunchtime, you can ski back and enjoy an à la carte meal in the hotel’s restaurant. And don’t miss the hotel bar, where you can wrap your hands around a frothy hot chocolate or get après started with one of the speciality cocktails.
