Overview - hotel description - Stammhaus Wolf description

Old meets new at the Stammhaus Wolf, the original wing of the Hotel Alpine Palace.

What you may not realise though is that the Alpine Palace in its current guise has only existed since 2012 - before that there was only the Stammhaus Wolf - an extremely popular guesthouse and restaurant that gave the Wolf family the opportunity to expand and create one of the most excitingly modern hotels in the Glemm Valley.

Well that Wolf heart still exists. Here in the original Stammhaus Wolf wing of the Alpine Palace, you'll experience the classic Alpine-style in the rooms - virtually unchanged since before the newer wing was even thought of. The rooms are quite a contrast from the rest of the hotel and could take you by surprise - but they provide incredible value for access to one of the top hotels in Hinterglemm.

And don't worry, you still have access to all the fantastic facilities across the whole hotel.

The Alpine Palace concentrates upon luxury, wellness, beauty and individuality. With an abundance of leisure and wellness facilities - including both indoor and outdoor pools - this is a great place to relax. Top this all off with sumptuous dining arrangements, live music and comfortable rooms in the original wing of the hotel for a great ski holiday.

Plus getting up the mountain is simple - the hotel is right next to the Reiterkogel gondola.

In the heart of the Glemmtal valleys, this charming alpine-style village is composed of traditional Austrian architecture. Twinned with the adjoining village of Saalbach and the slightly more distant Leogang, Hinterglemm make up one part of the endless ‘Ski Circus’ area. In comparison to compact Saalbach, it’s smaller, more sophisticated and more widely dispersed, which makes it the more sombre of the two villages. Nonetheless, those looking for some noise won’t struggle to find it - the après on the high s...

Once ready to head up the lifts, there’s a selection of friendly little blues back down to the centre, good for building confidence. Steeper blues and red runs come in different shapes and sizes to make Hinterglemm’s Ski Circus a stupendous opportunity for flourishing intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Pull up a deckchair and sunbathe with a quiet drink at the Zwoelfer Treff, one of the many huts to enjoy when up the mountain. Perhaps the most revered joint would be the Goaßstall, where children will be entertained by the resident goats– make sure to come in your dancing shoes to find out why the Skiarea Test’ awards voted it the best après ski bar in the Alps...
