Overview - hotel description - Sport Hotel description

Part of the fantastic Sport Hotels Resort, and one of the best hotels in Soldeu, the Sport mixes a homely feel with mountain chic.

The 4* hotel is beautifully decorated throughout in a traditional alpine style, with loads of warm wood and cosy touches. The rooms carry on this welcoming theme and sleep from two to four people – great for couples, families or groups.

You’ll have direct access to the jewel of the Sports Resort’s crown – the Sport Wellness Mountain Spa. Spread over five floors, this luxurious retreat has everything you need to relax and unwind, with saunas, spa baths and a menu of tempting treatments and massages. And while you're being pampered, little ones can have fun in the free kids’ club, which offers supervised childcare for children aged 4-12 years.

Mealtimes are something else to look forward to. The onsite buffet restaurant serves up a delicious spread each morning and evening – and dinner even comes with show cooking to liven things up. Or you can treat yourself to a meal in one of the à la carte restaurants, with things like sushi and tapas on the menu.

If you can bear to tear yourself away from the hotel to explore the slopes, you won’t have to go far. The gondola is right across the road, only a minute’s walk away.

This package holiday to Sport Hotel in Soldeu and El Tarter, Andorra departs Tuesday 3rd January 2023, for a 5 night stay on a "half board" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Soldeu and El Tarter are the more reserved neighbours of lively Pas de La Casa, and share the same Grandvalira ski area with the best skiing in the Pyrenees. Over 200km of slopes, three immaculately maintained snowparks, and enough mountain restaurants to keep even gastro-skiers occupied. Down at resort level great bars and restaurants let you take advantage of Andorra’s famous sunny afternoons and, if you’re looking for a trip to avoid the crowds and prices of the Alps, a ski holiday in Soldeu or El Tarter is hard to beat.

Together with Pas de la Casa, Soldeu and El Tarter make up the Grandvalira which is the largest, highest and most popular ski area in Andorra. Soldeu is the larger and livelier of the two villages, with El Tarter retaining a more traditional feel. Although just around the corner from Pas de la Casa, there is a much more relaxed and family friendly vibe in Soldeu and El Tarter, and they have successfully distanced the villages from the cheap and cheerful heavy partying reputation that Andorra built up in the nine...
The Grandvalira ski area is the largest in the Pyrenees, and recent expansions and infrastructural improvements have enhanced it sufficiently so that it is rightly considered a viable alternative to skiing in the Alps, especially compared to the smaller resorts. With over 200km of piste, three snow parks, a boarder cross course and designated freeriding areas there’s fun to be had regardless of how you like to spend your day on the mountains. 60% of the ski area is covered by artificial snowmaking facilities, s...
Whilst the nightlife in this neck of the woods is overshadowed by nearby Pas de La Casa, there’s still enough variety for a one week ski holiday. And if this doesn’t prove to be the case, then Pas is just a short bus ride away… With a good range of tapas and assorted pub grub, as well as the usual suspects drinks wise, the Villager is the first port of call after big a day on the mountain. Fat Albert’s (Fatty’s to the locals) serves a range of local specialities and European staples. The nightclub upst...
