Overview - hotel description - Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa description

Meal Basis: Half Board
Nestled at the entrance to the village of Soldeu, at an altitude of 1850m and directly facing the slopes, the Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa is the most luxurious ski hotel in the whole of Andorra and is the only 5-star hotel in the Grandvalira ski area.
The Hermitage exudes class and style and is the best place for a special ski weekend or a luxury short ski break. You’ll have free entry to the incredible spa and can expect wonderfully attentive service, fully in keeping with the beautiful surroundings and contemporary décor.
The Hermitage has 135 suites in four distinct categories; Junior Suite Deluxe, Junior Suite Premium, Junior Suite Duplex and Suite Hermitage. All are individually styled, lavishly furnished and offer very high levels of comfort. Each one has a pillow menu, Egyptian cotton sheets, free tea and coffee, Wi-Fi, bathrobes and slippers, safe, minibar, hairdryer, satellite TV, Acqua di Parma bathroom products and a terrace or balcony.
Your short break will be booked on a half-board basis, with meals taken in one of the hotel’s restaurants with views of the slopes. Breakfast is a very extensive buffet of fresh, hot and cold items including show cooking, while dinner is à la carte, giving excellent choice. Unsurprisingly, the cuisine is highly rated at the Hermitage. If your holiday is over Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, special gala dinners are included in the price of your holiday. Drinks are complimentary during dinner on Christmas Eve and champagne is thrown in as well on 31st December, to help you celebrate the year end in style!
The Hermitage has its own lounge bar, where the bar staff concoct some lovely cocktails. Alternatively you have the Villager Irish Pub in the adjacent building, which is often busy for après-ski as well as having live music each week. You’ve got access to a gym with fitness equipment and machines, Wi-Fi is available in public areas and there is a storage room for skis next to the gondola, situated in the Sport Village hotel next door. Calbo Sports is the ski hire shop in the hotel, so you can rent your equipment on the spot. If you’re travelling as a family, a kids’ club is available free of charge.
When staying at the Hermitage you’ll benefit from 3-hour’s daily access to the incredible Sport Wellness Mountain Spa. This beautiful spa is 5000m2, built over 5 floors and without doubt one of the finest in Andorra and Europe, boasting a range of swimming pools, Jacuzzis, saunas, steam bath and showers. Massage and beauty treatments can be booked locally at a supplement. The spa is not suitable for children under 13; swim wear and flip flops must be worn.

This package holiday to Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa in Soldeu and El Tarter, Andorra departs Sunday 18th March 2018, for a 3 night stay on a "half board" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Soldeu and El Tarter are the more reserved neighbours of lively Pas de La Casa, and share the same Grandvalira ski area with the best skiing in the Pyrenees. Over 200km of slopes, three immaculately maintained snowparks, and enough mountain restaurants to keep even gastro-skiers occupied. Down at resort level great bars and restaurants let you take advantage of Andorra’s famous sunny afternoons and, if you’re looking for a trip to avoid the crowds and prices of the Alps, a ski holiday in Soldeu or El Tarter is hard to beat.

Together with Pas de la Casa, Soldeu and El Tarter make up the Grandvalira which is the largest, highest and most popular ski area in Andorra. Soldeu is the larger and livelier of the two villages, with El Tarter retaining a more traditional feel. Although just around the corner from Pas de la Casa, there is a much more relaxed and family friendly vibe in Soldeu and El Tarter, and they have successfully distanced the villages from the cheap and cheerful heavy partying reputation that Andorra built up in the nine...
The Grandvalira ski area is the largest in the Pyrenees, and recent expansions and infrastructural improvements have enhanced it sufficiently so that it is rightly considered a viable alternative to skiing in the Alps, especially compared to the smaller resorts. With over 200km of piste, three snow parks, a boarder cross course and designated freeriding areas there’s fun to be had regardless of how you like to spend your day on the mountains. 60% of the ski area is covered by artificial snowmaking facilities, s...
Whilst the nightlife in this neck of the woods is overshadowed by nearby Pas de La Casa, there’s still enough variety for a one week ski holiday. And if this doesn’t prove to be the case, then Pas is just a short bus ride away… With a good range of tapas and assorted pub grub, as well as the usual suspects drinks wise, the Villager is the first port of call after big a day on the mountain. Fat Albert’s (Fatty’s to the locals) serves a range of local specialities and European staples. The nightclub upst...
