Nestled within the ground of the Holiday Club Salla’s Hotel Revontuli are the cosy Salla Villas, which opened for the first time in the summer of 2017.

Not only are the villas convenient – as they offer direct access to the slopes and cross-country trails – but they’re ideal for a scenic stay in amongst the snow-encrusted pine trees of Salla.

Each apartment is decorated in wholesome greys and whites to mirror the outdoor scenery, and comes with sleek and stylish décor from sparkling kitchens to a private saunas and funky fireplaces. They also comfortably fit up to six people, meaning you can spend quality time with family and friends in your own private space. You’ll have full control of mealtimes, as well as how many games nights you schedule in.

Despite being surrounded by the beautiful, Lappish wilderness, you’re not all that remote. Just a few steps over crunchy snow and you’ll be at the Hotel Revontuli’s Fell Spa, which is full of family-friendly facilities to help wind down after a day on the slopes. For an small charge you’ll have access to three pools – one fitness, one recreational and one kids’ – as well as a whirlpool and sauna, all with fabulous panoramic views of the wintery landscape.

Linen, towels and end-of-stay clean are also included. Cots are available to hire, on request, for an extra charge.

“Tunturi” is the word describing the treeless mountains that make up some of the ski areas in Finland. There isn’t a massive amount of skiing in the Sallatunturi but this is the beauty of the place as it encourages you to try other activities and enjoy the peace and quiet.
