The Rundlestone Lodge is dripping in charm, from its classic alpine look to the floor-to-ceiling wooden panelling and stone fireplace. And the scenery outside isn’t too shabby either, with the rugged Canadian Rockies poking above the town whichever way you look.
Things are pretty simple in the way of facilities, with a decent-sized indoor pool and hot tub, and a small fitness centre too. Plus, you can grab a free tea or coffee from the lobby before or after you’ve been on the slopes, and there’re plenty of squishy sofas next to the fire you can sink into.
You’ll be staying here room-only, though if you don’t fancy heading into the centre, the Keg Steakhouse next door’s pretty convenient for breakfast or an evening meal. Otherwise, you’ll find loads of good bars and restaurants in town, and you can use your free bus pass to catch a ride in if you don’t feel like walking.
