The Rocky Pop is a fabulous concept hotel, located in Les Houches and under 10 minutes' bus ride from Chamonix town centre. This is a truly great addition to our hotel programme, a highly popular valley and an ideal choice for skiers looking to explore the amazing skiing in the world-renowned Mont Blanc ski area.

The hotel offers friendly, high quality and affordable breaks, in a fun, relaxed, quirky environment where you will find a warm atmosphere in an environment inspired by the 80s. There are a number of different lounge areas to unwind in after a day on the slopes and a fun cocktail bar. You'll also find table tennis, billiards, many free arcade games and a photobooth where you can take even more snaps.

You will be on a Bed & Breakfast basis, which includes hot/cold and sweet/savoury foods, with fresh fruit, a variety to satisfy all tastes. However, you can upgrade at the time of booking to include dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is designed with large sociable oak tables; there is a variety of cuisine from typical Savoyarde dishes to burgers, pizzas, and plates of charcuterie with cheese. A 3 course a la carte menu is also available, with an additional charge. Alternatively, within 10 minutes' walk, you'll find a choice of restaurants and bars.

The Rocky Pop provides a complimentary ski shuttle service to and from a choice of lifts in and around Chamonix, including Brévent, Flégère, Grands Montets and Le Tour. There is ski storage, luggage storage and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Les Houches is a cluster of hamlets spread across eight kilometres of the Chamonix valley. In the centre, farmhouses and chapels (like the baroque Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste) give the place a traditional feel, while modern builds on the hillsides (still in traditional chalet style) have the convenience of doorstep skiing. A ten minute or so walk apart, the Prarion gondola and Bellevue cableway provide access to the ski area. It earned its place in the history books after hosting the first winter Olympics in...
The local slopes are mainly suited to beginner and intermediate skiers. Boarders might be put off by the number of drag lifts and flat sections, but for some the easy-to-reach off piste and snow park make up for it. There are a couple of learner slopes up at the Prarion and Bellevue top stations (we prefer Bellevue’s which is longer and smoother). The Melezes chair serves a number of cruisey blues and the snowpark, which has lines for newbies and experts. For intermediates, Plan du Cret and Plancerts ...
Apres isn’t as lively here as it is over in Chamonix, but you’ll still find some good bars to relax in. The Kitsch Inn by the base of the Bellevue lift ticks a lot of boxes for its handy location, live music and drinks and snacks menu. Harry’s Bar (part of Hôtel du Bois) has squishy armchairs and big screens, while the Slalom Bar (in Hotel Slalom) is a chic drinking spot for good wine and cocktails. For foodies, La Delice on Rue d’Eglise has a brilliant menu with inspiration from all over Europe. Le Ba...
