There’s room for all at the Residence Soleil Vacances, whether you’re travelling solo or with a group.

The apartments are split across two sections of the long residence building, separated by shops and a mini market. These modern apartments have been refurbished to a high standard, with neutral colours, dark wood flooring and sleek furniture. There’s a whole range of sizes available, from studios for two to apartments for six. Each of them comes with a kitchenette with hobs, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and coffee maker – so you can prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner whenever you want. Most of them have a balcony too, so you can sit out and make the most of the view.

The residence is also home to a small indoor pool, where you can unwind at the end of the day with a lazy swim among the mood lighting. You can stock up with food and drink for the week at the onsite mini market.

When you’re all settled in, it’s time to hit the slopes. It’s just a minute’s walk to the nearest gondola and a couple of minutes to the ski school meeting point.

This package holiday to Residence Soleil Vacances in Les Menuires, France departs Saturday 11th January 2020, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Together with Saint Martin De Belleville and Val Thorens, Les Menuires (say it Lay-Men-Weer) is part of the Vallée des Belleville and probably the cheapest base for the glorious skiing of the 3 Valleys. It’s true, this purpose-built resort’s more focussed on the practical than the aesthetic… but it’s made a valiant effort to shrug off the ‘ugly duckling’ rep - fitting a bit of a facelift in time for the Albertville Olympics. Split into various ‘quarters’ (linked by walking paths, ski runs, shuttle...
The resort has aimed to provide a wide variety for all abilities – and the proof is in the pudding! The opportunities are outstanding for skiers and snowboarders, but you would expect no less considering it is a part of the largest ski area in the world. Novices will find five free lifts either end of the resort for getting to grips on gentle little green runs, and longer greens such as La Violette at the top of the gondola from La Croisette. With a healthy mix of reds and blue runs covering the vast major...
End a day of skiing on the large sun terrace in L’Oisans and sit down in the sunshine with a jug of beer. Kick back with a cocktail or shoot some pool in the cosy Piano Bar Le Kube. Sports games are known to be aired on the TVs in venues like L’Original Café. If you ski over to Val Thorens be sure to go for some drinks at the famous Folie Douce. Those looking for some late night action have two night clubs to choose between; Le New Pop in La Croisette or Le Leeberty in Les Bruyères - an intimate underground ...
