Résidence Ynycio, Tignes Val Claret Summary

You’ll be staying piste-side in the Val Claret part of Tignes, so you can click straight into your skis and head off to explore the Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area. Or, for first-timers, the ski school and nursery slopes are just a few steps away.

Inside the residence itself, you’ve got a choice of apartments for up to six people, with separate living rooms and bedrooms so everyone’s got space to spread out. There’s a sleek white and black colour scheme throughout, with bold patterns on the curtains and rugs to add a stylish twist to the look. Fully kitted kitchenettes, with proper ovens and dishwashers, make mealtimes a breeze, and some apartments even have private saunas – après bliss here we come.

The highlights don’t end there. In the evenings you can eat à la carte in the Bazurto restaurant to fill up on Latino flavours, from fajitas to tacos. It doubles up as a bar too, so if you’re not in the mood for food, there’s a menu of South American cocktails to tempt you instead. And for some off-slope R&R, swing by the wellness area for a swim or spell in the sauna.

For an extra charge, you can add ready-to-heat meals to your booking, which are handmade locally and delivered to your accommodation by our partner, Huski. You can pick from a welcome pack, 3-evening or 6-evening meals that are easy to heat up. Find out more on the meal delivery service page

Tignes (pronounced 'Teens' by Brits and 'Teenya' by the French) is one half of the vast ‘Tignes-Val d'Isere’ ski area, one of the biggest linked domains in France. High-altitude terrain and Grande Motte glacier skiing ensure the resort both opens earlier in the ski season and also closes later than most resorts, and we’ve even seen lifts running for stints of summer skiing. Split into 5 purpose-built villages with distinct characters, it's well linked by pistes, lifts and free buses. Tignes Le Lac (aka Tignes...
With varied pistes at a high altitude, the ski area has impressive powdered terrain for skiers and boarders alike. Beginners can practice on the nursery slopes at Le Lac and Le Lavachet, where you'll find gentle, quiet runs that are accessible via free beginners' lifts. Le Bollin at Val Claret is another conveniently situated green and Grattalu is a lovely wide blue for those wanting to build confidence. Tignes is incredible if you ski at an intermediate level, with miles of powdery blue and red runs includi...
While it's said that those who appreciate Tignes do so for the serious skiing over the après ski, this doesn't do justice to the fact that Tignes' 60+ bars/pubs and 4 night clubs provide some of the best nightlife in the Alps. All villages have their fair share of places to eat and drink, and with a shuttle bus service running 24 hours, you can enjoy your evening without worrying about the journey back. Jam bar is small but with a great atmosphere and Loop bar pretty much offers it all: with live sport, world c...
