Tom at Sno was very helpful in organising my ski trip to Pointe Isabelle, Chamonix. I had a clean and spacious double ensuite room, the food included in my half board was delicious. It seemed a popular restaurant/bar with the locals too. And to cap it all off, the location was brilliant, very central. + more

Overview: hotel description: Hotel Pointe Isabelle description

Located in the heart of Chamonix, this hotel has plenty of history behind it. The hotel is named after a British lady, Isabella Straton, who broke boundaries exploring the Alps in the Victorian era with her husband who was a local guide. Her grandchildren opened this hotel and named it the Pointe Isabelle (3761m) after the mountain that she first climbed back in January 1861.

There has been a major renovation with a new wing built behind the existing building, a new top (4th) floor and 27 new rooms. There is also a new sauna and gym area as well as a large ski room. The interior design was led by a Scandinavian designer but keeping the style and telling the story of Isabella Staunton but in a modern and contemporary style.

This hotel is exclusive to the UK market.

The fantastic location in the centre of Chamonix will appeal to both keen skiers and those interested in the culture and activities of Chamonix. The trendy bar/bistro where dinner is taken offers traditional fare with a modern twist and some British and Scandinavian favourites! The sunny terrace adjoining the bar is one of Chamonix’s favourite spots for enjoying the mountain scenery and soaking up the resort atmosphere.
