If you’re looking for an authentic stay with a family feel, the Pension Walserheim might be right up your piste. It’s nabbed a spot just opposite the Bergbahn Oberlech cable car, so getting to the slopes is quick and the whole of the Arlberg ski area’s there at your ski tips.
Inside, you’ll find a traditional, homely décor with wood-panelled walls, patterned fabrics and simple, comfy furnishings. Each morning starts with a hearty breakfast buffet to fuel your ski day. The Walserheim’s scrambled eggs with mountain chives is a must-try, plus you'll find fresh bread, croissants, homemade jam, muesli and fruit to get you going. The breakfast room has a laid-back cosy vibe – and is yours to sit in of an evening if you feel like a night in, with the added bonus of plates and cutlery to borrow and a fridge of beers and wines.
When you’ve hung up your skis for the day, the village of Lech is on your doorstep with its shops, bars and restaurants, so you’re all set to make the most of your time in the mountains.
