Perhaps this pretty car-free village has gained a reputation as ‘Pearl of the Alps’ because it sits nestled in a powder bowl encircled by thirteen 4000m peaks. Massive mountains rise from every side of the valley like the peaks of a Toblerone bar, providing the village with a dramatic and awe-inspiring backdrop.
