The ski in, ski out element of it was very helpful and was very much welcomed at times. The only challenge we had was that we booked a two-bedroom apartment for six people. Apartments had a decent sized living area and were equipped with broadly what we needed for some standard meals. The apartments were located very conveniently for skiing, supper easy to ski to and from. They were less easy to get back to the main part of town after a few beers in the evening. Looking for a top-notch self-catered stay for your ski trip? The Edenarc Apartments should tick your box. Set at the top of Arc 1800, they’ve got panoramic views across the Tarantaise valley. And with a spot right on the slopes, you’ll stepping straight into your skis each morning and cruising back to the front door in the evening.

The complex itself mixes modern looks with touches of traditional alpine character. Timber cladding covers the outside, and in the apartments, white walls and pops of colour from the patterned cushions keep things bright and inviting – look out for the old regional recipes stencilled on some of the walls.

Another highlight here are the excellent spa facilities. Make a beeline for the heated indoor pool or sauna to warm up after a day on the mountain or swap ski stories while you soak in the hot tub – there’s even a kids’ paddling pool for the little ones.

Budding chefs have everything they need to cook up a tasty supper in the kitchenette. But if you fancy taking a break from cooking duties, you can upgrade to half board and enjoy 3-course dinners in the nearby Restaurant Voga Goga.

BEDROOMS & Odalys Prestige Residence Edenarc, Arc 1800 ROOM TYPES

All apartments have a dining area and kitchenette with ceramic hob, combi microwave/grill, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, as well as a balcony or terrace and safe. Bed linen, towels, free WiFi, an end-of-stay cleaning (excluding kitchen and bathrooms). A cleaning kit is included in your welcome pack.

When you arrive, you’ll need to pay a deposit of approx. €500 by credit or debit card for each apartment on your booking.
1 bedroom apartment(36-43m²)- sleeps 1-4: Double bedroom, living area with double sofa bed, private shower or bath and WC.

2 bedroom apartment(50-56m²)- sleeps 1-6: Double bedroom, bedroom with two single beds, living area with double sofa bed, shower room, bathroom and 2 WCs. Please be aware some apartments have a bathroom and WC only.

Please note: End-of-stay cleaning does not include the kitchen, so you’ll need to clean this yourself or an extra charge will be deducted from your deposit.

Please Note

When you arrive in the resort, the coach isn’t able to take you right up to the entrance of the Edenarc Apartments, so you’ll be dropped off close by. From there, a smaller vehicle will pick you up and take you the rest of the way.

As you'd expect from one of the biggest ski areas on the planet, there's everything from gorgeous tree-lined runs to wild, white-knuckle off-piste. For beginners, each of the 3 main Arcs has 'ski tranquille' zone, and the wide beginner runs leading to the resort have gentle gradients perfect for practising. The ski in, ski out element of it was very helpful and was very much welcomed at times. The only challenge we had was that we booked a two-bedroom apartment for six people. There was a sofa-bed in the living room and because the bed was out all the time, there was nowhere really to chill in the room. Otherwise overall, everything was clean and tidy. The bars and restaurants are about 2-3 minutes away by this little cable car. There was one restaurant in the hotel part where we were located, but it was quite expensive. Also good to know is that the cable car shuts off at about 11pm and some of the bars don’t close until after that, so we had to trek up the piste to get back. I’d give the residence 5 stars and the pool was great too!

We didn’t realize we had fast track lift passes until the end of the holiday, the reps never told us we could cut the queues. Definitely worth checking next time at the beginning of the week.
