Overview - apartment description - Montsoleil Terrasses d'Helios Apartments description

Located in the Montsoleil area of the resort, the Terrasses d'Helios Apartments are the newer, and higher standard, of two residences, the other being the Terrasses d'Eos Apartments. Both residences have been beautifully designed and built in Savoyard style using wood and stone and are surrounded by peaceful pine forests.

With great facilities (the Hélios has an excellent indoor pool, a spa area with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. New for winter 15/16 is a restaurant within the complex, La Table de Hélios, with serves traditional Savoy dishes and Italian food. The restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner) and lovely views from the apartments’ large picture windows, this luxury apartment is highly recommended. Part of the Grand Massif and fondly known as the “big snowy bowl”, Flaine was purposely plonked on the mountain for direct access to some of the greatest terrain around. While the village may not be brimming with Gallic charm, the skiing and facilities more than make up for it, a place much loved by powder hounds and families alike.

Flaine’s known as a “fly in, ski in/ski out” resort, and the ease of skiing that families and keen skiers rave about here’s no accident – legendary architect Marcel Lajos Breuer designed it to be as ski friendly as possible and he did a jolly good job. A ski lift or piste is never far away and the town itself is completely traffic free, with cars only allowed to enter to drop off and pick up luggage. Whilst it won’t be winning the gong for chocolate box charm, Breuer’s work has seen Flaine classed as ‘...

This is a popular place to learn to ski or snowboard and even has free beginners lifts for those who are finding their feet. The schools all have English speaking instructors who can guide you through the basics and have you gliding down the slopes in no time. Once you’re comfor...

If you’re staying in Flaine Forum you’ll enjoy all the restaurants and bars right on your doorstep. The après is a short bus ride from Flaine Foret which is considered the slightly more residential part of Flaine. You can get a ski lift or shuttle bus into the town for après so you won’t be missing out. ...
