NB: while the Supplier rating is 4.5 Star, the Official rating is 5 Star.

The Terrasses d'Eos Apartments, on the edge of Flaine Forêt, offer luxurious 5-star self-catering accommodation with doorstep skiing. The Savoyard-style residence is made up of two large, stone and wood-clad buildings that really make their presence known in the wintry forest. Inside, the apartments have been beautifully finished in a contemporary style and are extremely spacious. All of them have fully equipped kitchens – which include a Nespresso machine for those early mornings, to get you ready and raring to go – and large bay windows that open out onto a balcony.

All guests have access to the gorgeous outdoor heated swimming pool – what better way to end the day than with a lazy swim, surrounded by snow-covered spruce trees? Inside, there’s a huge whirlpool with floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the panoramic mountain views, and a soothing sauna and hammam – perfect for a self-catering holiday with a touch of luxury. If you fancy a massage or beauty treatment, you can visit the Deep Nature Spa at the Les Terrasses d’Helios Apartments, a 5-minute walk away.

If you’ve got kids with you who need a bit of entertainment after a day on the mountain, the property has its very own children’s corner with toys. For the older ones, there’s also a pool table.

When you want to explore Flaine a bit more, it's just a leisurely 15-minute walk into the centre.

Part of the Grand Massif and fondly known as the “big snowy bowl”, Flaine was purposely plonked on the mountain for direct access to some of the greatest terrain around. While the village may not be brimming with Gallic charm, the skiing and facilities more than make up for it, a place much loved by powder hounds and families alike.

Flaine’s known as a “fly in, ski in/ski out” resort, and the ease of skiing that families and keen skiers rave about here’s no accident – legendary architect Marcel Lajos Breuer designed it to be as ski friendly as possible and he did a jolly good job. A ski lift or piste is never far away and the town itself is completely traffic free, with cars only allowed to enter to drop off and pick up luggage. Whilst it won’t be winning the gong for chocolate box charm, Breuer’s work has seen Flaine classed as ‘...

This is a popular place to learn to ski or snowboard and even has free beginners lifts for those who are finding their feet. The schools all have English speaking instructors who can guide you through the basics and have you gliding down the slopes in no time. Once you’re comfor...

The après is a short bus ride from Flaine Foret which is considered the slightly more residential part of Flaine. You can get a ski lift or shuttle bus into the town for après so you won’t be missing out. ...
