Overview: apartment description: Les Fermes de Samoëns Apartments, Samoëns description

NB: while the Supplier rating is 3 Star, the Official rating is 4 Star.

Quiet, comfortable and homely – that’s what comes to mind when we think of Les Fermes de Samoëns Apartments.

Situated around an 8-minute walk from the historical village of Samoëns, and only 10 minutes away from the gondola to the fantastic Grand Massif ski area, the apartments have a great location for experiencing the best of both daytime and evening.

The traditional Alpine-styled residence is made up of 120 apartments. Each is spacious and functional, with high ceilings and cosy furnishings and, if you’re a party of six, you may even get a split-level apartment – perfect for that extra bit of privacy.

Once you’ve stored all your gear away at the end of the day, settle down with a cup of tea by the fire in the communal lounge. If you’re in desperate need for some pampering, though, then head straight to the small indoor swimming pool, sauna or steam room.

Please note:

Samoëns is a separate village in the Grand Massif and is not in the resort of Flaine.

End-of-stay cleaning is not included as standard. Some Type E apartments are split-level.

At just an hour's drive from Geneva, Flaine's known as a 'fly-in, ski-in ski-out' resort. The ease of skiing that families and keen skiers rave about here's no accident – legendary architect Marcel Lajos Breuer designed it to be as ski friendly as possible, and he did a jolly good job. A ski lift or piste is never far away, and the town itself is entirely traffic-free, with cars only allowed to enter to drop off and pick up luggage. Whilst it won't be winning the gong for chocolate box charm, Breuer's work...
With its high altitudes producing outstanding ski conditions throughout the season, Flaine is famed for offering an all-round ski area with plenty of slopes for all abilities. It is the perfect place for some quality skiing or snowboarding. Flaine is a popular place to learn to ski or snowboard and even has free beginners lifts for those who are finding their feet. The schools all have English speaking instructors who can guide you through the basics and have you gliding down the slopes in no time. Once you...
The excellent skiing in the resort is matched by fun après ski, and there's something to suit everyone - from a family night out to an all-night party thanks to a range of places to eat, drink and dance. If you're staying in Flaine Forum, you'll enjoy all the restaurants and bars right on your doorstep. The après is a short bus ride from Flaine Foret which is considered the slightly more residential part of Flaine. You can get a ski lift or shuttle bus into the town for après so you won't be missing out. ...

"We had an awesome week!"

The apartment was really good. It’s like a complex so they have the reception and then around that different blocks, about 4 or 5. We were quite lucky as in some of the blocks you have to walk a little distance to get to the pool but ours was right next door. Inside the apartment, the beds were fine, we had two people in the main bedroom and one in the lounge area. We did a bit of a mix between cooking and eating out. You literally walk to the end of the road, probably a five minute walk and there’s a small shop. On the other side of Samoens there’s a massive supermarket, about 20-25 minutes to walk to (or no distance at all if you have a car). The only thing with accommodation is that it took us by surprise that we had to pay a £300 deposit – we cleaned up so we could take it back. Also the swimming pool was really cold, this didn’t stop us using it though and it did heat up during the week, it’s a nice one, all wooded with a sauna you could use as well. The free bus was literally outside the hotel to take you right to the bubble.
