Overview - chalet description - Le Village, Chalet La Chapelle description

Our exclusive development of five chalets is located at the top of town and next to all the main lifts. Built around an atmospheric cobbled courtyard at a giddying altitude of 2000m, and surrounded on two sides by piste, the five chalets of Le Village characterize the ultimate in ski-in ski-out convenience. Those familiar with our previous developments will not be surprised that we have made our usual choice from the a la Carte Alpine menu; stone walls, slate roofs, vaulted ceilings, solid timber floors, hi-tec entertainment, snappy chic en-suite bathrooms, hot tubs, saunas... all the ubiquitous toys that have become our trademark. Each of the bedrooms is larger than the customary Alpine offering and every bedroom has a balcony, some actually spill straight onto the piste.

An exciting caged people carrier provides aerial transport down to all parts of the resort including the outdoor ice rink and pool. With a nursery slope under your nose, our famed nanny service to look after the kids and spa treatments for a little spoilt indulgence, for the first time the discerning skier seeking supreme comfort can enjoy everything that Alpe d’Huez has to offer.

With a transfer time of around 2 hours, Alpe d’Huez is very accessible from Grenoble airport. Established in 1936, it was the first resort in France to be installed with a fully operational ski lift. The resort lies in the Grandes Rousses Massif domain and it is partnered by the smaller mountain villages of Auris-en-Oisans, Villard Reculas, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and La Garde, all of which are connected by a free transport system. The slopes are mainly south facing and as a result the area, known as “L’ile ...
Alpe d’Huez has had sun and snow galore since 1936. And with a whopping 52km of greens, this is an excellent place for beginners. The easiest skiing is above the village and Les Bergers and there are plenty of wide open runs underneath the DMC gondola, many being ‘beginners only’ so you can learn without too much traffic. If you’re feeling confident, try some of the blue runs coming down from the main mountain and the signal sector back into Alpe d’Huez. There is a really impressive selection of runs for ...
If you like live music, try the Underground in Vieil Alpe, which combines a pleasant atmosphere with bands playing most nights. Smithys tavern is a proven success in the neighbouring resort of Les Deux Alpes and the Smithy’s in Alpe D’Huez has drinks promotions and healthy portions of Tex-Mex to match. If you can’t bear to miss an important game whilst in France then The Sports Bar is the best spot to watch live sports. L’igloo is the place to go if you want to party late into the night. Alpe d’huez has a...

"most luxurious break they could of made it"

So we're on honeymoon, it's my birthday, and valentines week. The chalet is beautiful, the room is constantly cleaned, the food is beautifully made by Seb and Beth who just couldn't of been more perfect. Their hosting skills were second to none and their attentive nature has really made our week. I really can't praise these two enough and if I could have each break this way then I'd pay over the odds each time. The only down side I can say is that I don't say the chalet is ski to door as such, there is still a 20metre walk:( all things considered 10/10

Best chalet we've been in. Seb and Beth amazing. Looked after us very well. Chalet exceptionally clean, very relaxed and friendly, great location, love the ski in, ski out. Resort and weather fab. Great food and wine. Good boot warmers. Toiletries lovely and champers and canapes icing on the cake. Only thing is wifi doesn't work in rooms on entry level floor. It did not ruin our experience. Thank you Seb and Beth.
