For beginners and children, a free shuttle bus is available from the hotel to the runs and the different districts of Les Ménuires.

Tuition meeting point: Complete beginner skiers - 2km in Reberty area, everyone else (including all snowboarders) meet at either Bruyères or Croisette area 200m away, depending on customer preference. All tuition is with ESF Ski School

It's convenient too as you can ski from the hotel to the nearest lift 200m away, and you can get back to within about 20m of the hotel without having to come out of your bindings.

After your day in the endless Three Valleys ski area, head back and spend an afternoon indulging in the adventure pool. You can lose hours in there as it has jet beds, a lazy river and a waterfall. Afterwards, try the sauna and treat yourself to a bit of pampering with a massage or beauty treatment.

The hotel's spa area has an indoor pool with a whirlpool and lazy river, a sauna and a wellness centre, all with spectacular mountain views.

The meals here are half board so you can enjoy a continental buffet breakfast and a four-course dinner. The cooking here has quite the reputation so expect delicious French cuisine. One thing's certain - you won't go hungry here!

Each of the 41 rooms here are cosy (but not small), clad with wood and adorned in Fairisle prints. Many have views over the mountains and spaces big enough for four. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, i-Phone dock and ensuite bathrooms. Some rooms have a balcony and can be requested for a supplement.
