The Hotel Vauban is in a convenient position in the town of Briançon at the southern end of the Serre-Chevalier valley, just a few minutes’ walk to the ski lift.

It represents great value for money for those looking to access a superb ski area on a budget. The hotel is simply furnished, bedrooms are modern, while other areas maintain a more traditional appeal.

The town itself, while not a ski resort as such, has plenty of activities on offer, making it a perfect choice for those who aren’t planning on spending the whole week on the slopes. There are a wide range of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, plus a selection of leisure and wellness activities to choose from and Briançon old town is a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site.
