Overview: hotel description: Hotel Panther description

Hotel Panther is right in the centre of Saalbach village and its lively atmosphere. It's a great base to explore the village and the slopes are nearby too; there are three lifts within 50m.

Lots of the Panther's guests come back year after year and it's easy to see why. The food is good and plentiful, the staff are really friendly and it's a comfortable place to chill out in too.

Head to the wellness area if you need to unwind. There's an outdoor heated pool, sauna, steam room, or you can pay for massage and beauty treatments.

Room Types: Hotel Panther bedrooms

The 65 rooms are simple yet comfortable and a good size with neutral décor. Most are Austrian twin rooms but the larger rooms have a sofa bed that could sleep one adult or one child. Each room has free Wi-Fi, a TV, mini-safe, hairdryer and an en-suite with bath or shower.

Meals: Hotel Panther food & drink

The half board food is good and there's plenty of it. Breakfast is an extensive buffet and the evening meal is four courses with a choice of main and a salad buffet. Once a week they have a speciality buffet and if you stay over Christmas or New Year they put on a festive gala dinner.

We update Hotel Panther's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Found in the state of Salzburg, the village of Saalbach (officially titled Saalbach-Hinterglemm) is Austria’s second most popular tourist destination for good reason. It’s connected with the adjoining village of Hinterglemm and nearby Leogang to make the expansive ‘Ski Circus’ area, the largest mountain circuit in the country. The resort has a rich history of skiing dating back to as early as 1898, and more recently it played host to the 1991 Alpine Ski World Championships. Built around a charming onion do...
If it’s your first time, there are two beginner slopes just above the main street and a choice of excellent ski and snowboard schools. If you’re ready to head up the mountain there are novice-friendly blue slopes like the run all the way down from the summit of the Bernkogel. There’s an array of scenic circuits and long pine-lined runs around the Ski Circus which are excellent for those looking to develop their abilities, making this an absolute dream for intermediates. Steeper blues and challenging red run...
To say the après ski here is electric would be an understatement! There’s a brilliant array of bars and clubs providing the resort with its buzzing reputation for incredible après. Finish off your day on the slopes at the bottom of the Bernkogel in Bäckstätt Stall with some glühwein amidst stunning mountain scenery. Be sure to make your way to the legendary Hinterhag Alm for a wild party with live music in this lively rustic venue. Bauer’s Skialm will have you dancing in your ski boots into the early hour...

The Panther is a really nice hotel and we all had a great week. It’s quite a big hotel and we were a group of 14-16 – it suited us fine. It’s very central – 2 minutes from one main lift and about 5 minutes from the next. We skied almost back to the back door, you just had to go down a few steps and you were in the hotel. Right next door there’s a nightclub which wasn’t at all noisy, but when the hotel bar shut we could all pile in there for a couple more drinks. Loved the pool which had a little tunnel that took you to a pool outdoors. Some of the girls used the sauna and steam rooms in the evenings too. The food was great! There was always a choice and you pre ordered the breakfast/night before. The menu always had something for everyone and the whole group always seemed happy, we all got to sit together every night which was another bonus. Everyone seemed happy with their rooms; myself and one other person in the group had single rooms which we were very pleased with. We tend to stay in different resorts every year but if we were coming back to Saalbach we would look at staying here again.
