The Hotel Neuhaus is a whole mini-village in Mayrhofen with access to some of the best skiing in Austria. The hotel is made up of two wings that are connected by an underground passage – the original Neuhaus and the St Josef.

The hotel is a few minutes’ walk from Mayrhofen’s busy centre, so you’re not far from the bars, shops and restaurants. And as for the skiing, it takes around 10 minutes to walk up to the Penken gondola. Or walk for one minute to the bus and train station to make your way over to some of the quieter areas within the Ziller valley – all covered on the Zillertal area lift pass.

The huge bathhouse with several spa areas is your go-to haven for all things chill and cheerful. Whether you're floating in the 25-metre infinity pool, hopping between saunas (clay, textile, panoramic – you name it), or unwinding in the fresh air zones with a herbal tea from the Cassina lounge, this place knows how to do downtime right. There’s yoga on the outdoor platform, loungers and daybeds for peak snoozing, and even a fireplace. And for the little splash-lovers?
