· central location · 1 minute walk to ski bus stop · 8-10 minutes walk to Penken gondola
When you're staying at the Alpendomizil Neuhaus Hotel & Spa, it's easy to forget that you're actually staying in Mayrhofen as you'll never need to venture too far.
The Neuhaus is made up of several different buildings around a square to form its own mini-village. The main hotel is made up of two wings - the original Neuhaus and the St Josef – which have both had their rooms recently renovated and are interconnected by underground passageway. The 3 star Landhaus annexe is about 50 metres away and is a great way of experiencing many of the facilities at one of Mayrhofen’s best hotels on a budget.
Meal times are well covered. There’s a wide choice available at the breakfast buffet including eggs freshly cooked to order. Evening meals are a chance for you to really refuel, with modern twists of Austrian classics and more internationally recognised dishes.
In the Neuhaus complex you have the Movie Bar (one of Mayrhofen’s best après bars), the Village Gym (with all the fitness equipment you’d expect in a modern fitness centre), the Kamillendörfl luxury spa, an indoor pool with even more saunas and great restaurants. If you’re travelling with kids too, there’s a play area, games room and Austrian skittle alley. All of this and it’s just a snowball’s throw away from both the train and bus station of Mayrhofen.
The reason we mention the train and bus stations is because if you want to make full use of your Zillertal area lift pass you’ll need those for getting to some of the more far flung and quieter areas of the Ziller Valley - including the year round skiing Mecca of the Hintertux glacier. Closer to home it’s about a 10 minute walk up to the Penken gondola and much less to the centre of town.
