You can't get closer to the slopes than Hotel Gabl. Next door to the Nassereinbahn gondola, this hotel is in a quiet area of town within walking distance of St Anton's lively centre. A great pick if you're booking lessons, the ski school meeting point and nursery slopes are right outside. And for more experienced skiers, a short gondola ride takes you to the top to explore the huge Arlberg ski area.
The rooms are simply decorated with white walls, wooden floors and wood-panelling, and pictures of St Anton on the walls help provide a homely touch. Downstairs in the spa warm yellow tones and terracotta tiles surround the sauna and hot tub. When the lifts close for the day, head down here to unwind in the warmth before dinner.
You're half board here, and the hotel provides dinner 6 nights per week. Start the day with a buffet breakfast and enjoy a 4-course meal after exploring the slopes. There's plenty of places to eat in town, so when the restaurant's closed there are some great options to choose from. Chill out in the lounge after dinner, or head into town to enjoy a drink in one of St Anton's many bars.
