We loved it, it was really good. We felt like we really lucked out, or lucked in on that – definitely lucked out on the weather. Also if you are fortunate enough to get into the part with panoramic views (not afraid of heights), then it’s a great view right above the street level with panoramic views and you could lie down on it at a 45% angle. The hotel was really nice and we only used it for breakfast, but again, it was lovely. Lots of choice and it sets you up nicely for the day. I suppose given where we've been fortunate enough to ski before, I'd say that apart from the weather, the biggest sort of let down for us is having to get on a bus. Normally we've been able to walk to a lift or something, but in Chamonix you really need to get on a bus to get to the different ski areas like Argentiere or Brevent or Le Tour. With a little bit of local knowledge, you can attack things a little bit differently and use the bus system much better. The only other thing again with local knowledge, is knowing that you need to book the time slots for the spa treatments at reception, you can’t just turn up and go in. The other nice touch is that you’ve got countless sweets like Haribo at reception and my son was going nuts for that!
