Hotel Betulla’s got location nailed. It’s tucked at the quiet entrance to Madonna di Campiglio, with cracking views of the Brenta Dolomites and a ski bus stop right outside. Hop on the free shuttle to the Spinale cable car or take a minute’s walk to the Pinzolo-Campiglio Express gondola – with the ski lifts so close, getting up the mountain each morning’s faff-free.
Inside, things lean traditional – lots of warm wood, exposed beams and a cosy, chalet-style feel. But it’s not all old-school. The neutral tones and modern touches keep it feeling fresh, and some rooms come with balconies for those mountain views you’ll want to wake up to. Downstairs, there’s a bar for post-ski tipples and a team who know how to make guests feel properly looked after.
Food-wise, breakfast is a hot and cold buffet with fresh coffee, pastries, juices, cereal and more. In the afternoon, there are complimentary tea and cakes to tide you over till dinner. Upgrade to half board and you’ll get a three-course evening meal with table service, plus salad and cheese buffets. Expect regional dishes that are simple, tasty and nicely presented.

•Classic ski village •Linked area •Epic Dolomites scenery
Among the classic destinations for Italian ski holidays, Madonna di Campiglio’s charming mountain village is one of the greats. Connections to Folgarida and Marilleva mean you can explore other areas without having to remove your skis (but with the standard of food on offer, you might want to give your legs a break in a mountain restaurant or two...).
