Chalets don’t tend to be as popular in Italy as they are in France and Austria and it doesn’t look like we have any to offer in Madonna di Campiglio at the moment. If you’re set on a chalet ski holiday and still want to ski Italy, we do have some chalets in Selva, approximately two hours away from Madonna. Chalet Silvia is a family favourite that sleeps a maximum of 9 people and the Soldanella Chalet is practically ski in ski out with the nearest piste 50m away. Canazei is another lovely resort where there are a number of chalets. The Chalet Travianta is only a 1 minute walk to the local childcare facilities and only 3 minutes’ walk to the bus stop.

Catered chalets are great if you want the convenience of having morning and evening meals prepared for you as well as afternoon tea when you’re back from the slopes - and this doesn’t mean you have to splash out as there are plenty of holidays for those on a budget. If you’re travelling in a group, book sole occupancy and you can have the place to yourselves. If you want to avoid lugging your ski equipment form a to b, look out for a ski in/ski out chalet where the slopes will be on your doorstep. Many chalets have childcare facilities on site, ideal if you have bambini who are too young to ski. For the next degree of luxury, book a chalet with its very own hot tub or sauna (be warned – once you’ve had your own hot tub on a ski holiday, other accommodation just won’t be the same!).
