Click in and you’re away at the Alpeen Hotel – a slope-side pick in Les Menuires where ski days start straight from the door. You’re right on the Boulevard de la Masse green run, with the Doron lift at the bottom of the piste and the resort centre, nursery slopes and La Croisette all around a five minutes’ walk away.

The hotel is split across two buildings, linked by a corridor. Inside, there’s a cosy, laid-back feel, with each building having its own lounge area – made for swapping slope stories by the fire. For low-key evenings, head to the bar for a drink and game of pool, while the outdoor sauna is the perfect spot to unwind. Rooms vary in style but keep things simple and modern, with pops of forest green and red adding a little alpine character – and let’s not forget those mountain views.

Mornings start with a buffet breakfast to set you up for a day on the slopes. And in the evening, you’ll sit down to a 3-course meal of Savoyard favourites from onion soup to tartiflette.
