Overview: hotel description: Wildwood Snowmass description

Budget-concious travellers will love the comfortable and functional Wildwood. Built in 1967, the hotel has been recently renovated - it's now a chic hotel in central Snowmass, just steps from the ski lifts, restaurants, bars and nightlife. By maintaining the traditional 60’s exterior corridors, the hotel is able to uphold its roots - but bright colours and contemporary furnishings have brought it into the 21stcentury.

The 145 rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, with either two comfy double beds or one king bed. Creative storage spaces like under-the-bed trundle drawers, ski racks and cubby benches allow you to stow your gear. If you'd rather have a bit of extra space in your room, you can always keep your skis or board in the hotel’s ski storage room, fitted with lockers and boot racks.

The Wildwood also has funky activities for everyone to enjoy, whether you’re with family or friends. In the lounge, you can move around the modular furniture and snuggle down to watch a film. Or if everyone's feeling competitive, grab a board game and battle it out with your mates. Just want to recuperate on your own? There's a whole choice of books to choose from in the lounge. On top of that, the hotel houses an outdoor pool as well as two hot tubs. All customers also have full access to Westin Resort's facilities, next door.

In the evenings, the bar and lounge is transformed into a mini nightclub with live music and DJs, so put on your dancing shoes and party the night away from the comfort of your own hotel. The bar also sells beers on tap from Colorado’s New Belgium Brewery, so there's a whole range of new drinks to try. Also doubling up as a restaurant, the bar sells a range of food from fish and chips to speciality pizzas. If you’re looking for something a bit different, the Double Black Noodle Bar serves traditional Japanese-style cuisine.

So if you’re looking for lively but down-to-earth accommodation for a fraction of the money, the Wildwood is the place to be.

Please note:

Rooms are priced on maximum occupancy regardless of the bed configuration.

Like its sister town Chamonix, Aspen's one of the best known, sought after resorts in the world. Obvious of the fact that the town has the highest average property price in the USA (an insane $5 million in 2018), it has long been a destination for the rich and famous. Stars and celebrities are sprinkled around the town, and Roman Abramovich, Mariah Carey and Lance Armstrong all have residences here (to name a few), giving you the chance to show up the celebs on the slopes. Despite this, the economic downturn in ...
The four separate ski areas aren’t lift-linked, but the complimentary shuttle makes quick and easy transfers. Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass all offer customers different experiences and, combining to provide 335 runs and 5,524 skiable acres, offer a massive variety of skiing. Aspen Mountain looms over the town of Aspen. It is not recommended for anyone other than a confident intermediate and above. It has no beginner runs; with 65% advanced and expert terrain, there’s no question of whom th...
As you’d expect from a resort of this calibre, there’s a world-class, superior feel to the off-mountain activities and après scene. Whether you’re looking to rub shoulders with the rich and famous or fancy a good old tipple with your chums, there’s more than likely to be an option that appeals. With the economic recession in the late noughties, Aspen saw a slight shift in its target audience. No longer just the mega-rich, amenities popped up to cater for those with a tighter budget. That’s not to say yo...
