Itter: Small, cosy chalet "Hohen Salve", terraced. In a hamlet 2 km from the centre of Itter, 1 km from the centre of Kirchbichl, 3 km from the centre of Söll, in a quiet, sunny position. Private: beautiful garden, lawn for sunbathing. Garden furniture, barbecue. In the house: central heating system, washing machine. Parking at the house. Grocery 1 km, restaurant 600 m, outdoor swimming pool 2 km, indoor swimming pool 8 km. Skisport facilities 2 km, ski bus stop 80 m. This pleasant cottage is adjacent to the holiday house AT6300.100.1. Both properties have completely separate areas with the exception of communal parking.

Itter can be found at the foot of the mighty Hohe Salve mountain – said to be Tyrol’s most scenic peak with 3000-metre-high mountains every which way. Pint-sized and famously peaceful, the village is a treat for the eyes too: painted lemon-sherbet, its Kirchbichl Parish Church dates back to 1764 (sneak inside to see the baroque ceiling frescos and Rococo altarpieces). Beginners can learn and practice on a drag lift-served slope down in the valley and on a nursery run next to the Salvista gondola. If you’re looking for lessons, the Ski Shool Alpin offer a range of classes for different levels, usually meeting at the gondola base station. Après ski wise, the atmosphere here is quiet and relaxed – head to neighbour Soll for a livelier scene in the likes of Salvenstadl and Whiskey Muhle (the taxi ride back only takes about 10 minutes).
