Overview: hotel description: Fairmont Chateau Whistler description

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is one of the largest and most prestigious hotels in Whistler. Enjoy ski-in and ski-out access and legendary service in one of Whistler's most beautiful hotels.

Iconic Status

The Fairmont name is renowned for its world class service and iconic buildings. Set into Blackcomb Mountain with a stunning backdrop of trees and snow, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is no different. Inside the hotel you will find an impressive chateau-style grand lobby with high ceilings and lavish furnishings.

You will be based next to the lifts at the foot of the Blackcomb Mountain with great ski-in and ski-out access. It’s also not far from the village centre either, an easy five minute walk or complimentary shuttle away.

Drinks & Dining

You’ll find several bars and restaurants at the Fairmont where you can enjoy everything from a casual drink to fine dining. The Grill Rooms serves up some of the best steaks and seafood in British Columbia and the Mallard Terrace bar is not to be missed for a social après drink by the fire pits.

Wellness

If you're looking for some peace and quiet, the hotel's health club gives you access to an 60ft. heated lap pool with underwater music, indoor/outdoor heated leisure pool, multiple whirlpools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and firepit. We recommend treating yourself to at least one of the renowned treatments and massages at the ‘Vida Spa’, bookable locally.

Established in 1966 the Canadian ski resort Whistler lies at 675 metres altitude in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Its pedestrianised streets, size and attractive architecture, the village at the base of the mountain perfectly match North America's largest ski area. Its diversity, buzzing vibe and class can be immediately sensed upon setting foot in the area. The myriad of bars, shops and restaurants open up the door of possibilities for the non-skier, whether it's perusing the vast range clothing st...
There is literally no best way to describe a ski area that spans two mountains and covers more than a colossal 8,000 acres. If you think you can’t find the right terrain for you here, you’re just too picky. Setting out on skis in this resort is an absolute dream; the ski school is fantastic, catering to the customer’s every need. The Magic Chair on Blackcomb is perfect for your first venture up the mountain after the carpet, or for the more confident novices, hit up the cruisy runs of Whiskey Jack and then...

"Lovely!"

JKNPOH, London
5/ out of 5
The Fairmont is a lovely hotel, we liked the food, facilities, friendliness and just the informal atmosphere. Everyone was really welcoming and the whole place is very comfortable. The spa is amazing! If I had to suggest one thing, it’s to bring your ID to the outdoor hot tub (which is lovely!) if you want a glass of bubbly – my 27 year old daughter got ID’d in it (you don’t want to have to go back up to your room having already changed into your swimming costume!). The hotel has easy access to going out in the evenings, you just get a taxi to the restaurants. The breakfast buffet was huge, absolutely huge! You could still order off the menu but really most of what’s on the menu is in the buffet anyway. They had chefs on the spot who’d cook you pancakes etc. For a big place it was quite organised, we always managed to get a seat. It’s not a cheap hotel, it’s on the pricier end, but I would definitely recommend it.
