• central resort location • 5 minute walk to Panoramabahn Schaufelberg lift for skiing on Maiskogel • 2 minutes walk to ski bus stop for Kitzsteinhorn glacier and Zell am See
Das Alpenhaus Kaprun had a complete overhaul in December 2013 to bring it kicking and screaming into the 21st century - and they did it with style, or Alpine lifestyle as they prefer to call it. The 122 rooms and suites at the Alpenhaus were all completely renovated with elegant modern finishing and a distinctively Austrian feel.
The Alpenhaus has an excellent central location for exploring the town, right in the heart of Kaprun and close to the local bars and shopping districts. The nearest lifts for the Maiskogel slopes can be accessed under 5 minutes by foot. More experienced skiers looking to get up to the 100% snow-guaranteed Kitzsteinhorn glacier and over to Zell am See's Schmittenhohe will need to take the ski bus which stops close by.
Food plays an important part of the experience at the Alpenhaus, focusing on traditional dishes using regionally sourced ingredients - although there's also a wide choice of international highlights available. Vegetarians are more than welcome too.
Spa lovers are well catered for. The über-modern 1,000m² Alpen Veda Spa has been designed over two floors to provide the ultimate rest and relaxation experience. Saunas and steam rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and relaxation areas are just for starters. Add to this natural treatments with Vagheggi products and a menu of massages to help you indulge completely.
