The Alpenhaus pairs modern alpine style with a laid-back, easy-going feel. Its orange exterior stands out against the snow, while inside things feel warm and welcoming, with dark wood, soft lighting and cosy checked details dotted through the rooms. It’s the kind of place that feels authentic without being stuck in the past.

The real highlight is the 2,000m² spa, spread over two floors. You can ease into the indoor pool, soak in the hot tub or warm up in one of the saunas after a day on the slopes. There’s also a menu of treatments if you fancy a bit of extra downtime. And for getting out on the mountain, the Schlossalmbahn lift and ski school meeting point are around a 10 minutes’ walk away, or you can hop on the ski bus just outside.

Food’s taken seriously here, with menus built around fresh, local produce. Expect a mix of Austrian favourites and international dishes, then head to the bar for a drink by the fire.
