What is the Ski Domain where Club Med Valmorel is located?

The resort is located in the beautiful Grand Domaine ski area, which links Valmorel with the resorts of St-François-Longchamp, Doucy-Combelouvière, and others. The Grand Domaine provides access to over 165 km of interconnected pistes, offering plenty of terrain to explore throughout a week.

The Grand Domaine is renowned as a paradise for beginner and intermediate skiers. It features extensive, tree-lined blue and red runs that are gentle, often sunny, and perfect for long, scenic cruising across the valleys. While it offers challenges, it is less daunting than domains focused purely on expert terrain.

Is the ski lift pass and lessons included in the Club Med Valmorel package?

Yes. A 6-day lift pass (Monday to Saturday) for the entire Grand Domaine ski area (which covers Valmorel and connected resorts) is fully included in your all-inclusive ski package. This provides seamless access to all 165 km of pistes without any extra daily cost.

Professional instruction is included for both alpine skiing and snowboarding. Lessons are provided by the skilled and certified instructors from the École du Ski Français (ESF). Group lessons are available for all skill levels, from first-timers (Beginner)* to advanced skiers (Expert).

*Beginner lessons strictly begin on Monday.

Lessons typically run for five days (Monday to Friday) and are tailored to help guests progress rapidly. Children aged 4 years and up are welcome to join the appropriate ski lessons, which are perfectly integrated with the resort's dedicated Kids Clubs, ensuring a smooth and fun learning experience for the whole family.

Snowshoe hikes

Enter the snowy world of the wintry mountains. Relish the untouched open spaces as you explore on snow shoes. Hike in style through the larch forests. Leave your prints in the snow as you try Nordic walking, taking in views of Mont Blanc.

If you prefer to experience the mountain other than on skis, enjoy a trekking programme from Monday to Friday.
Mostly on snowshoes, and sometimes with other disciplines such as nordic walking or hiking, these treks are supervised by mountain guides who will take you to areas away from the ski slopes.
