Meals - food and drink in Club Med Peisey-Vallandry

RESTAURANTS

La Vanoise

The fully redecorated and more spacious main restaurant, with its mountain style revisited decor, subtly blends untreated materials: cut stone rubs shoulders with trunks of birch trees and the exposed wooden beams. Share all your meals as a family in this welcoming modern ambiance. In fine weather, you can enjoy your lunch on the terrace overlooking the mountains.

If you would like to prepare food for small children, the Baby Corner has all the facilities you need.

The Pierra Menta

With a central fireplace, wooden structure, large picture windows and cosy armchairs, the place is a celebration of typical Savoyard bistro style. From a snack to dinner, you can come and try the specialities of Savoie for yourself. Traditional dishes, sharing platters, local products... the food is both delicious and refined. The wine list highlights regional wines*, particularly those which are organically produced. You can also enjoy flavourful local beers, because the region is home to many craft brewers. From the terrace, you can admire the view of the entire Tarentaise Valley and the summits of the Beaufortain Massif. A sight that you could never tire of.

*Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Drink with moderation.

BARS

L'Aiguille Grive

The Aiguille Grive gives you a variety of options to suit your mood. Sit out on the panoramic terrace for stunning views or find a snug spot in one of the cosy lounges and just chill. If you're in the mood to party, the dance floor keeps up the pace well into the night!

Le Varet

Le Varet has natural brick, stone, and wood panelling contrasting with a shiny, modern touch. Warm colours, soft lighting and furniture designed for comfort ensure you of a super evening, while the extensive cocktail menu is an invitation to explore.

We update Club Med Peisey-Vallandry's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. Les Arcs came to be in 1968 after a group of ski instructors and architects dreamt up a resort with all the perks of a village but a mountainside location. It grew into one of the largest, most incredible ski areas in the Alps. The closest airport is Chambery with a transfer time of a couple of hours, plus transport links from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble. Present-day Les Arcs consists of four main purpose built villages. The original resort, Arc 1600, was created for doorstep skiing and is linked by a funicular ...
As you'd expect from one of the biggest ski areas on the planet, there's everything from gorgeous tree-lined runs to wild, white-knuckle off-piste. For beginners, each of the 3 main Arcs has 'ski tranquille' zone, and the wide beginner runs leading to the resort have gentle gradients perfect for practising. Local instructors are on hand to show you the ropes, with ski schools based in each of the main villages (1800 has the most). There are magic carpet lifts at 1800 and 2000 - an easy way for newbies to get up ...
If you're looking for a party, Arc 1800 is the place to be. With heaps of watering holes like the Red Hot Saloon (or the 'Red Bar' to use local lingo), Benji's and La Folie Douce. If you're looking for more of a French-style après spot, Ambiente Cafe has a really cool atmosphere and lots of nice cocktails (happy hour usually starts at 4) while Le club 1950 your venue if you're looking to party into the wee hours. Arc 1600's a little quieter but for good music and a scenic terrace check out Les 2 Têtes. In te...
