Val Thorens needs no introduction; at 2,300m altitude with glacier skiing over 3,000m, you are guaranteed to have snow throughout the winter. The Belleville valley has fabulous skiing in itself from Val Thorens, through Les Menuires and down to St Martin de Belleville, but the massive Three Valleys has over 600kms of pistes altogether.
Staying at Chalet Véga gives you direct access to the piste so you just need to clip in, and off you go, either down to the bottom of the magic carpets (for beginners) or down to Les Menuires or to the various chairlifts and gondolas that open up access to all of the Three Valleys and the glacier.
Chalet Véga is situated on the piste near the village centre and just down from Place du Caron. The resort centre offers a wide selection shops, bars, restaurants and clubs giving a large selection of après-ski activities from a quiet beer to taking the zip wire across the valley!

Navigating in Val Thorens can vary, as distances from Chalet Véga to ski lifts are in a straight line.
Stand-alone chalets are a rarity in Val Thorens and even more so when they are ski-in, ski-out. If it’s a good location you’re after, then Chalet Véga and Chalet Pégase are both housed in Chalet Alrock, situated on piste, next to the brand new Sports Centre, just below the central Place du Caron.
Chalet Véga and Pégase are both run and catered separately but share the bonus of the sauna on the ground floor. The chalet gives you direct access to the piste so you just need to clip in, and off you go, either down to the bottom of the magic carpets (for beginners) or down to Les Menuires or to the various chairlifts and gondolas that open up access to all of the Three Valleys and the glacier.
Chalet Véga is on the third and fourth floor of Chalet Alrock. All six ensuite bedrooms are situated on the 3rd floor, some of which have a balcony. The pièce de résistance is the open-plan lounger/diner on the top floor, which also has a fireplace and offers the same great views of the Massif de Peclet, Cime Caron and Pointe de la Masse mountains on the terrace from where you can have your afternoon tea and watch the last skiers and boarders carve their way past the chalet on their final run home.
You can expect some wonderful cuisine in our catered ski chalets, where you’ll never have to lift a finger. Save yourself the hassle and cost of having to cook or organise restaurant bookings, and enjoy a delicious three course evening meal prepared for you after a long day on the slopes.
Our chalet menus have been meticulously designed and curated by our Executive Chef. We believe that great food can transform a holiday, so expect some hearty and tasty food throughout your week with us.
Our catered chalets are equipped with excellent facilities, from cosy living areas to spacious dining areas. You will get to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire with your family and friends while your hosts work behind the scenes to prepare a delectable feast.
Enjoy impeccable service with six days of breakfast, dinners, canapés and aperitifs. For breakfast, you can expect fresh French bread, pastries, fruit, cereals, as well as cooked options. Each day on your return from the slopes, you can expect a different cake with tea and coffee. For dinner, enjoy a three course dinner to refuel after a long day on the slopes.
If you’re booking the chalet for your family, we kindly ask that everyone dines together rather than having separate sittings for children and adults. However, we’ll be happy to adjust the dinner time to an earlier slot to suit younger guests better.
Catered ski chalets offer a range of evening meals from beef bourguignon to grilled cod. If you have a specific request, ski trip favourites or dietary requirements, just let our sales team know before you travel, and the resort team will endeavour to cater to all your needs.
