We stayed at Chalet Toubkal 2 March 21 - 28 as a party of 7. Karolina and Pete looked after us all beautifully - the chalet was kept spotlessly clean and a fantastic carousel of cooked breakfasts, home-made cakes and 4 course suppers with wine and port on offer, was laid out for us every day! We've just returned from a wonderful week of skiing/boarding in La Tania (Feb 7-14th 2015). Overview: chalet description: Chalet Toubkal Two description

Chalet Toubkal Two is one half of a chalet, that was built and designed by its owner. The modern open living area is really bright and comfortable with a wood burner....

There is access to the balcony that looks onto the piste, with views beyond. There is one twin and one triple, one double all with en-suite facilities. You book the chalet for 6 people, however there is an option for a seventh person, if you wish. At the end of a days skiing you can relax on the large terrace or use the chalet sauna.

The chalet shares the boot room and sauna with it's neighbour Toubkal One, both are separate chalets and have their own entrances and private balconies, but for larger groups they can be booked together to accommodate upto 12/13 people.

The chalet can only be booked for sole use.

The boot room leads straight onto the piste, which is only 100 metres to the main telecabine, giving you true ski in ski out. The chalet is at the very bottom of the Moretta Blanche red run, it is very easy to get from the chalet to the telecabine for all levels. The ski schools meet by the cabine. To ski to the chalet you can choose the red or the green, the green crosses over the red around 100 metres from the chalet. The walk to the village centre in the evening will take around five minutes.

Non smoking chalet.

Nestled in the forests between Courchevel and Meribel offering excellent access to both resorts, La Tania is known as the Three Valleys' best-kept secret. Proud to be eco-friendly, the resort facilities are powered by a hydro-electric system and has a car-free centre. Despite its modernity, the village has been designed in-keeping with traditional wooden Savoyard architecture, integrated amongst the beautiful forest scenery. The local businesses are mostly Brit-owned, but visitors can still find very French si...

After a day on the slopes, La Tania is a peaceful base to unwind in. The atmosphere is mostly quiet and relaxed, but some après fun can be found. Le Bouc Blanc is a popular restaurant at the top of the gondola from the village, ideal for relaxing in the sun with a drink on a deckchair. Great value for money, prices are a fraction to those in other places. Pub Le Ski Lodge attracts most of the nightlife, hosting regular live music performances and themed nights. Seven of us stayed in Chalet Toubkal 2 from 21st to 28th March. Whilst not huge in terms of communal space, it is in a great position, has a wood burner and Pete and Karolina were excellent hosts who looked after us perfectly. They are gentle, friendly and helpful people who provided first class food for us throughout our stay, preparing delicious vegetarian food for one our group and even going the extra mile and providing alternative cake/pudd for one of our group who'd given up chocolate for Lent. Every day there was an excellent ENGLISH cup of tea and delicious cake awaiting us on our return from the slopes.

The chalet is in an excellent location within La Tania - being able to ski in / ski out is a fabulous plus and inside the chalet, although compact, Toubkal 2 has everything we needed including a sauna of which we made full use and games and dvds. The windows look out onto amazing views of the mountains. We were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we met and with the thoughtful touch of the delicious flapjacks which Eloise handed round to us on the bus ride from the airport.

We've just returned from a wonderful week of skiing/boarding in La Tania (Feb 7-14th 2015). The company were excellent throughout, the little touches such as bottled water and flapjacks on the transfer bus went a long way. Chalet Toubkal 2 had everything we needed and its location just off a red run (which happened to be one of my favourites) was very convenient and literally allowed us to ski in and ski out. The underfloor heating was so good that we didn't use the fire once. The only thing which would make the chalet even better would be a hot tub, but having a sauna was a big bonus. I can't speak highly enough about our hosts Karolina and Pete. They were friendly, professional, organised, and clearly make a good team. The food was amazing, and having had a bad experience with chalet catering under another company a couple of years ago, they completely restored my confidence in this type of accommodation.
