Overview - chalet description - Chalet Tetra description

Chalet Tetra is a chalet apartment offering that little bit of extra comfort in a first class ski-in/out location. Part of the high quality MGM development, it is finished in wood and combines an attractive traditional alpine style with excellent modern comforts. All rooms are either en suite or have private facilities and room 2 enjoys not just a shower but an attractive corner bath as well. The open-plan living/dining room is warmed by a stone and traditional timber open fireplace, has satellite TV and also has a balcony with beautiful views of the piste and across the valley. Due to the chalet’s proximity to the slopes there is a snowy path to the chalet so good walking shoes and easy to carry bags are recommended.

This package holiday to Chalet Tetra in Les Arcs, France departs Saturday 19th March 2022, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

Les Arcs came to be in 1968 after a group of ski instructors and architects dreamt up a resort with all the perks of a village but a mountainside location. It grew into one of the largest, most incredible ski areas in the Alps. The closest airport is Chambery with a transfer time of a couple of hours, plus transport links from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble. Present-day Les Arcs consists of four main purpose built villages. The original resort, Arc 1600, was created for doorstep skiing and is linked by a funicular ...
As you'd expect from one of the biggest ski areas on the planet, there's everything from gorgeous tree-lined runs to wild, white-knuckle off-piste. For beginners, each of the 3 main Arcs has 'ski tranquille' zone, and the wide beginner runs leading to the resort have gentle gradients perfect for practising. Local instructors are on hand to show you the ropes, with ski schools based in each of the main villages (1800 has the most). There are magic carpet lifts at 1800 and 2000 - an easy way for newbies to get up ...
If you're looking for a party, Arc 1800 is the place to be. With heaps of watering holes like the Red Hot Saloon (or the 'Red Bar' to use local lingo), Benji's and La Folie Douce. If you're looking for more of a French-style après spot, Ambiente Cafe has a really cool atmosphere and lots of nice cocktails (happy hour usually starts at 4) while Le club 1950 your venue if you're looking to party into the wee hours. Arc 1600's a little quieter but for good music and a scenic terrace check out Les 2 Têtes. In te...

As last season, the staff were brilliant-nothing was too much-as usual, the food was excellent, the facilities very good and the location right on a blue run couldn't be more convenient. This was our 4th. year catered chaleting with this chalet operator & we have already booked into Chalet Bouquetin in Tignes, for next January having stayed in Val d'Isere, Chalet Inoko, previously. Lovely food, perfect access to the slopes and easy to get to the village on foot down the piste or via the free navette. Grace and Chris work hard, long hours and they stressed that any problems were voiced. I was impressed how well they adapted the meals for my food allergies, even offering to cook something different for me if I wanted. Tim, James and Mike helped get my car sorted and unloaded too. Would prefer better choice of airports and transfers, that is why I drove.

Sat above the town at a ski-in ski-out spot, your views over this stunning scenery and the famous village of Les Arcs 1800 are hard to match.
