Location - where is Chalet Rose Blanc

Chalet Rose Blanc is a traditional Savoyard chalet, with the most superb ski in ski out access to the slopes of La Plagne. La Plagne is a resort made up of a number of different satellite villages, Chalet Rose Blanc is located in the area of “La Plagne Soleil”, which sits at an altitude of 2050 metres, just across from Plagne Villages and the further up the mountain from the centre of the resort. This location means it's one of the most snow-sure areas of La Plagne, meaning you'll be able to ski to and from your door for the whole of the season. La Plagne Soleil has a full range of commodities, including a choice of bars and restaurants for an après-ski drink or meal out and it is ideally located close to the ski school meeting point, making this an excellent location for a family with children in ski-school.

Overview - chalet description - Chalet Rose Blanc description

With five bedrooms sleeping up to ten guests and spread across three floors, Chalet Rose Blanc is the perfect choice for a family or group of friends looking for a traditional Savoyard chalet at excellent value, with direct access to the pistes of one of France's largest and most popular ski resorts.

Entrance to the chalet is on the ground floor, where you'll find a spacious ski and boot locker, for looking after all your equipment.

The bedrooms are spread across the various floor, with the first two bedrooms found on the ground floor after entering the chalet. The first bedroom has a double bed (140cm x 190cm), whilst the second bedroom on the first floor is much smaller, with space for two bunk beds (90cm x 190cm). These two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and WC. The remaining three bedrooms are all on the second floor, one of which is a double room (140cm x 190cm) and then two rooms with two single beds (90c x 190cm). The living room is bright and spacious, with a roaring log fireplace and flast screen television, perfect for relaxing with a few drinks after a tiring day on the slopes. There's also a balcony, so if the weather is nice, you'll be able to sit outside and admire the stunning scenery.

If you're driving to the chalet, there is free outdoor parking near the reception of Les Lodges des Alpages, just a few metres walk from the chalet. Alternatively if you'd prefer to keep your car safe from the snow, there are a number of covered carparks in resort, which can be reserved from as little as 59 Eur for the week (http://www.parkinglaplagne.com/sags/sejour_2.php?parking=soleil).

Meals - food and drink in Chalet Rose Blanc

Classic Contactless Catering Service

Your chalet will be ready on arrival - beds made, dinner ready and fridges stocked*, wine-cellars replenished, skis and lift passes all booked. But you won't see us. We'll be at the end of the phone, but there will be no contact, unless you need it. You and your family will be safe and looked-after, as we work in the background, providing everything you need.

Our contactless catering service comes with the choice of two pricing options, a fixed menu with food and drink included in the price, and our à la carte option which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire and the cost of the food is on supplement, at cost price, and depending on what produce you choose to order.

For those looking for a simple packaged chalet price, we are offering an all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast, afternoon tea, a three course dinner on 6 out of 7 nights, plus unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad, or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal.

Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. That's where our à la carte contactless catering service comes in. As an alternative to the service detailed above, we will also offer a lower rate, which does not include the food and drink for the week and we will give you the opportunity to order the food and drink of your choice, at the local hypermarket rates, and bill you for this afterwards. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive provisions list with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever, all bought for you and stocked in advance.

Our aim is to provide the safest possible environment for a ski holiday, whilst staying as affordable as possible. The new way to holiday will be by enjoying the facilities, food and beverages but without the staff waiting on you hand and foot. That will keep things safe and affordable. However, for those in search of a little more luxury, we are able to provide drivers, chefs, daily cleaning, ski lessons etc, all of which can be discussed at the time of booking or with our concierge service prior to arrival.

*Please note that for the à la carte option, all food, drink, ski hire and lift passes come at additional costs and are not included in the chalet price. Provisions will be billed at cost price and can be ordered from the list that will be sent out to you, and ski hire and lift passes can be booked in advance with our preferential rates. For our fixed menu option, the price does not include ski hire and lift passes, but it does include breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, plus a 3-course dinner with beer and wine for 6 days.

We update Chalet Rose Blanc's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

This accommodation only holiday to Chalet Rose Blanc in La Plagne, France departs Monday 13th December 2021, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

In the French Alps' Savoie region, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built villages and 4 traditional villages. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Try snowmobiling at night, ice climbing in Champagny, husky sledding, paragliding, extreme tobogganing and more! One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...
