Food & Wine

Your day starts with freshly brewed tea or coffee (don’t worry, we bring real teabags from the UK) and a spread of fresh crusty baguette and jams, yoghurt, fruit and cereals on the table. The cooked breakfast menu changes every day but includes bacon, sausages, eggs, French toast, grilled tomato, succulent mushrooms, Heinz baked beans…
Once you’ve returned from your tough day on the slopes, homemade afternoon tea is served and favourites range from classic treats such as scones with cream and jam to squidgy brownies or raspberry and white chocolate cupcakes. In the evening we let our experienced hosts use their imaginations and the fantastic fresh produce we have to create a mouthwatering 3-course menu for the week. Unlimited red, rosé and white wines (from bottles, not boxes!) are served through dinner, (with coffee and chocolates in the comfy seats after your meal!). If you’re a bit of a wine buff, you can pre-order our Wine Lover's Package which is just £35pp for 6 bottles of our upgraded selection - you choose whether you'd like 6 whites, 6 reds, our mixed selection or your very own combination of the above!

If you wish your youngsters to have an earlier tea – all homemade, fresh and nutritious, of course – then please let us know in advance so we can pass the message on to your host. If there’s anything you’d rather not eat, whether for moral, sensory or digestive reasons, please don’t hesitate to let us know before you travel. We won’t charge you a penny extra.

We update Chalet Premier de Cordee's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

This package holiday to Chalet Premier de Cordee in Courchevel, France departs Tuesday 13th December 2016, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. "5/5 for what it is – not luxury but really comfortable"

Brian & Pete, Peak District

My son and I had a fabulous week, we shared the chalet with a nice bunch of people and even on the Tuesday when it was the host’s day off, most of us stayed in anyway and chatted. The food was great, there was plenty of it. The young lady who hosted us couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, and on occasion that she had help from her colleagues they were always very nice. The chalet isn’t at the luxury end of the scale so the rooms were small, but you don’t need to spend time in them anyway. Ours was very comfortable and had beautiful views. It’s situated well in 1650, a short walk to the escalator which would have been a pain in boots but isn’t a problem if you leave your boots in the shop.

"Nice chalet in 1650"

Alex the chalet girl was excellent, always very professional and an absolutely brilliant cook! You don’t know who you’re going to be with in a chalet but we ended up with a nice crowd of people. The only minor point is that our bedroom was very small – more or less the bed, a tiny bit round the edge and then a small wardrobe. There was a larger room at the top of the chalet which would have been nicer, but at the end of the day you don’t spend too long in your bedroom on a ski holiday. The chalet’s sort of at the bottom of 1650, there was a problem with the escalator on a couple of days but once it was mended, getting around was fine. We left our skis at the ski hire shop (used SkiSet) as the last thing you want to do is trug up and down with stuff.
