Overview - chalet description - Chalet Mouria description

Chalet Mouria provides super accommodation for larger groups or families, and after some cosmetic and reconfiguration work over the summer of 2018, including a jacuzzi and sauna, promises to offer spacious and welcoming accommodation for groups of 12/16.

This super freestanding chalet is well located within the village, being set back slightly from the high street with its many shops, bars and restaurants which this hugely popular level of Courchevel now has to offer.

This traditional large freestanding chalet has plenty of space and with some of the ensuite bedrooms capable of taking extra beds, its maximum occupancy is 16 so ideal for large groups or perhaps 3-4 families coming together to enjoy a week's skiing together. There is a large living/dining room which has a lovely open log fire and relaxing sofas and armchairs in which to rest those weary legs after a big day on the slopes. Chalet Mouria is located close to the second roundabout in Courchevel 1650 (as you head up towards 1850) so access to the main bubble lift is very straight forward, being just literally a couple of minutes walk away to the ski escalator by the main Tourist Office. Everything 1650 has to offer is also literally on your doorstep. You will be warmly welcomed to The Mouria by two chalet hosts (possibly a couple) who live out.

Did You Know... Mouria is the name of the area where the chalet is located and it is not to be confused the neighbouring Mouria block of apartments which is round the corner.

Meals - food and drink in Chalet Mouria

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet Mouria's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

This accommodation only holiday to Chalet Mouria in Courchevel, France departs Saturday 7th December 2019, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. Divided into five villages - each known by its altitude - the Courchevel area provides a series of settings to suit different tastes, group make-ups and budgets. For pure, champagne-popping indulgence, VIP area Courchevel 1850 oozes exclusivity and no-limits luxury. Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, a socking great 60% of slopes here are beginner friendly. There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. As part of the effort to making the resort child friendly, fun for sprogs the focus of the Indiens piste, where little ones can enjoy face painting, a treasure trail and many...
Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. Enjoy a cosy fireside cocktail in Le Stanleys or Les Ducs de Savoie, two of the resort's many piano bars; sample fine wine and champagne in Le P'tit Drink or head to La Grange or l'ARC (formally Les Caves) for an uber posh clubbing scene. Down in 1650, you can fully appreciate the stunning surroundings at The Signal bar. Les Schuss is good for a quiet drink in a traditional Savoyarde setting and if you're looking for live music and a vibrant atmosphere, try Roc...
